Honda intake gaskets are extremely difficult to remove. I don’t know what these things are made out of, but they can become permanently bonded to the intake surface of the heads. Instead of spending hours trying to scrape these things off and ending up leaving gouges all over the intake flange, I simply spend 10 minutes setting it up on the surfacer and cut the gasket off before throwing the head in the washer. It leaves a fresh surface and looks great. The customers always appreciate the fresh finish.
